Anna joined the staff of The Place as the Chenango Youth Philanthropy Council Coordinator in September 2024. As a retired teacher who was also the advisor to several high school clubs, Anna has worked extensively with students and the community throughout her career.
Believing it is important to give back to the community and to help those in need, as advisor to Key Club and as co-coordinator of the Salvation Army Kettle Drive for several years, Anna had students (and members of the community) volunteer to raise money for the community as well as participate in collecting donations of food, winter clothing and Toys for Tots.
In her new role as coordinator for CYPC, Anna hopes to foster students interest in helping the community through various philanthropical endeavors, including, but not limited to, volunteering and assisting with determining this year's grant recipients.
