In October of 2016, Sharon Vesely became The Place’s Executive Director. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from SUNY Cobleskill, Sharon has extensive experience with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, the Connecticut Department of Public Health and the National Association for the Education of Young Children. She is adept at ensuring regulation and accreditation compliance, and most recently, as an Educator with LEAF, Inc., she facilitated evidence-based, prevention curriculum to school aged students in Otsego County. Sharon holds certifications in First Aid, CPR and Medication Administration Training. She is a certified facilitator of Why Try, Girls
Circle and Boys Council.
Elizabeth Hathaway began working at The Place in January of 2018 with the KIDS Program, and served on the KIDS Summer program staff that same year. Tori Foster joined The Place as the KIDS Program Assistant Coordinator in the Summer of 2024. Tori has always enjoyed working with kids and is pursuing a degree in Inclusive Early Childhood Education. Before she took this position, Tori was a substitute teacher in local school districts. She has also coached youth sports teams. She has her CPR and First Aid certification.
