In January of 2017, Sharon Vesely became The Place’s Executive Director. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from SUNY Cobleskill, Sharon has extensive experience with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, the Connecticut Department of Public Health and the National Association for the Education of Young Children. She is adept at ensuring regulation and accreditation compliance, and most recently, as an Educator with LEAF, Inc., she facilitated evidence-based curriculum to school aged students in Otesgo County.
Breanne Heath joined the The Place’s KIDS Summer Program in the summer of 2017 and by summer’s end, was promoted to Teen Program Coordinator and Coordinator of Chenango Youth Philanthropy Council. Breanne has a degree from SUNY Brockport. She holds CPR and First Aid certification and has extensive experience with working with children. During her career, Breanne has overseen youth sports programs, before and after school programs, special events and summer camps for the Clarkson Recreation Center. Additionally, she has been the afterschool director and managed summer camps for the Norwich YMCA.
Mallory Norton began her involvement with The Place in the fall of 2018. Mallory holds a Bachelors degree from SUNY Potsdam in the field of Childhood/Early Childhood Education, as well as a Master’s Degree in the field of Educational Technology. Mallory has experience in the classroom setting as a student teacher, as well as experience as a mentor, tutor, and day care provider.
Elizabeth Hathaway began working at The Place in January of 2018 with the KIDS Program, and served on the KIDS Summer program staff that same year. At the end of the summer, she was promoted to Group Leader of the KIDS Program. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education from SUNY Morrisville, as well as her CPR and first aid certification.
